At Queens College you’ll work with exciting young scholars, master teachers, artists, scientists, and activists, who are dedicated to teaching and to including students in their research. Our faculty receive numerous notable fellowships, awards, and research grants, and many are national and international leaders in their fields. Our professors have received national recognition, such as Guggenheim fellowships and Fulbright awards, as well as millions of dollars in funding from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the U.S. Departments of Education, Energy, and Agriculture. For example, 10 of our faculty members have received national recognition by being awarded the prestigious and highly competitive Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program research grants from the U.S. National Science Foundation. And 13 members of our faculty have been designated Distinguished Professors, CUNY’s highest honor. Many of QC’s faculty participate in doctoral programs at CUNY’s Graduate Center.
At QC, not only will you study with the best, but you will benefit from close interaction with faculty and other students. Seventy percent of our classes have thirty students or fewer, which encourages classroom interaction, individualized instruction, and an enhanced learning experience.
