Queens College offers students a first-rate education in the liberal arts and sciences under the guidance of an outstanding faculty dedicated to teaching and research. With majors in over 60 fields, including arts, education, music, business, science, and social sciences, QC is an ideal place for you to pursue your interests and learn.
Our Division of Education has graduated more teachers, principals, and counselors than any college in the New York metropolitan area. We have more computer science majors than any university in New York City, and the third largest number of accounting and business students in all of New York State. Our acclaimed Aaron Copland School of Music offers talented students a fine liberal arts education with conservatory-type instruction. Whatever field of study you choose, you will be taught by some of our nation’s finest professors. And because 70% of our classes have 30 or fewer students, you’ll be in an environment that nurtures interaction and discussion. We invite you to explore our complete list of undergraduate programs at: qc.cuny.edu/undergraduateprograms.
We know that top students look beyond the classroom for a well-rounded education. Queens College opens up avenues for you to explore other exciting realms—on a research ship, on Wall Street, in a recording studio, wherever your talents may take you. Our Career Center provide numerous opportunities for students to gain valuable real-world experience through internships, mentoring, workshops and more.
Italy . . . Morocco . . . Israel . . . China . . . These are just a sampling of our many study abroad offerings. Because travel transforms your perspective, promotes cross-cultural understanding, and helps prepare you for the global economy, we provide our students a wide breadth of international programs. Study abroad is available during the summer, winter intersession, or for a semester or two; at QC, even freshmen may study abroad. qc.cuny.edu/studyabroad
How can we demonstrate the quality of education we offer?
By looking at the achievements of our students and recent graduates. QC students consistently receive competitive scholarships and awards, including Watson Fellowships, Marshall Scholarships, Fulbright Scholarships, Truman Scholarships, Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowships, Goldwater Scholarships, and more. They have been selected for membership in national honor societies such as Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi, and the Golden Key International Honor Society. They have accepted positions with organizations such as Deloitte & Touche, J.P. Morgan, Sony Pictures, Universal Music Group, NYC Department of Education, PricewaterhouseCoopers, CBS News, and the Environmental Protection Agency. And many of our recent graduates continue their education at the finest institutions in the United States and Europe.
